Brussels School District #34 Board Member Vacancy
The Brussels School District is accepting Letters of Interest to fill the vacancy from the Consolidated Election held on April 1st, 2025 in which only three of the four vacant seats were filled. The appointment will be from the date of appointment until the next regular school board election which will be held in April 2027.
Applicants for the school board vacancy must be a US citizen, at least 18 years of age, a resident of Illinois and the district for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment, and a registered voter. The applicant must reside within the Brussels School District limits. The applicant cannot be a child sex offender, hold another incompatible public office, hold a prohibited interest in any contract with the district, hold certain types of prohibited state or federal employment.
Letters of Interest must be turned in by 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19th, 2025, to the attention of Mrs. Amanda Brodbeck, Board President, at the school district office, 155 School Street, Brussels, IL. 60213.
