IDEA Drafting Competition On February 28, 2025, Mr. Brodbeck took two students to the IDEA Drafting Competition at Lewis and Clark Community College. Our students competed in the 3D Modeling and Revit categories. The competition consisted of several questions and information that students used to create projects. Brussels is so proud to say that Olivia Brodbeck placed 3rd in the 3D Modeling category and Abby Johnes placed 4th in the Revit category. These girls have worked hard in the classroom all year long and it paid off at this competition. Way to go, Olivia and Abby!!!

Brussels’ very own Haylee Kress decided to come back for a few days to teach the high school students how to use a Cricut. She even purchased bags and allowed the students to design them however they wanted. Each bag turned out great. A special thanks to Haylee who is a true asset to the Brussels community!!

Dear Parents, We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for tomorrow, and there is a possibility of inclement winter weather that could impact in-person learning. In preparation for a potential e-learning day, we will be sending devices home with junior high and high school students today to ensure they are ready in case we need to transition to remote learning. Grade school students have received take home e-learning packets that they will use. Please make sure your child has their device and any necessary materials with them this evening, and ensure they are charged and ready for use tomorrow. We will provide further updates should an e-learning day be implemented. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Stay safe and warm!

The Independent Electrical Contractors of Greater St. Louis is proud to offer our first ever Pre-Apprenticeship aimed at 16-20 year olds to prepare them for the construction jobsite and get them “shovel ready”. It is a 6-week course (one night a week) where students sample the electrical trade, prepare their resume, practice interview skills, and prepare for the required math exam. Students who successfully complete the program will keep the tools they use for those 6 weeks. If you have sophomores-seniors that would benefit from a program like this, please pass along the information. See the attached flyer.
