Congratulations to the 8th Grade Girls Basketball team on their win over Greenfield (35-30) and bringing home a regional win. This year has been such a success for our student athletes. The 8th grade girls move on to play Bluffs on December 11th at 6:30 pm at Springfield Calvary. Good luck Lady Warriors!

Both the High School Pep Club and the Junior High decorated trees at Rock Spring Park this year. The Pep Club did a Wicked themed tree and the Junior High did a Mean Girls themed tree. They both look great, so please come out to see the lights and vote for trees 4 and 5. The Christmas Wonderland opens this Friday on the 29th. On Monday, December 2nd, people are allowed to walk through the park. It is the only time cars can't drive through. The students worked hard on the decorations and we sure would like to see them place again.

The Freshman class of 2028 is now selling Rubber Ducks until January 10th for the Great Duck Drop of 2025!!!

The Art Expressions class finished our quilting and machine sewing unit. They loved using the machines and worked hard to perfect their final projects. I think they even realized quilting is not an easy feat and they just skimmed the surface on what quilting really entails. A special thank you to JoAnn Nolte and Nancy Kulp for letting us borrow their machines and teaching these girls how to use the machines and to Paula Herter for donating a couple machines to the classroom. We will definitely be revisiting this unit before the end of the school year.

Human Tape Sculptures have made an appearance at Brussels High School. They are lurking in the bathroom, reading in the hallway, and passed out on top of the vending machine. Special guest Ellyse Brown took time out of her busy schedule to show the Art Expressions class how to make a human tape sculpture. The final products have provided some laughs and thrills for the BHS students and faculty. Thank you Ellyse Brown for showing us another world of art.

Today is National Substitute Educators Day. We wouldn't be able to do anything without our subs! Thank you for everything you do!!

Happy Veterans Day to all who have served. Thank you to all who attended our program this morning and to those with us in spirit. It was a wonderful experience for our students and staff to honor those who we have to thank for our freedom. God bless you all.
